Do It Yourself Fashion - Iron-on Transfers

Monday March 20, 2006
Computers sure have made life easier in lots of ways. Remember iron-on transfers? Well now, you can go online and snag some fun patterns that you and your kids will love. Then, all you have to do is print them up on transfer paper and iron them onto a kids' T-shirt by following the instructions that came with your transfer paper.
Where can you find fun, free iron-ons?
  • DLTK's Transfers: This is a great source for simple, free transfers including transfers of popular cartoon characters, holiday patterns and sports patterns.
  • MSN Iron-on Transfers: Use their templates and your pictures to create fun, customized and photo iron-ons that you and your kid will love.
  • Or, if you feel super crafty, make your own iron-ons. Jacci Howard Bear, About.com's Guide to Desktop Publishing, shows you how!
