Havaianas Flip-Flops for Kids

Havaianas for KidsHavaianas, which means "Hawaiian" in Portuguese, are a flip-flopping sensation. They hail from Brazil, where they are already the nation's most popular shoes. Now, they taking over American beaches and sidewalks. Some say they the most comfortable flip-flops ever. I don't know for sure, but I do know lots of people who swear they are the closest thing to being barefoot.

I love the look of these fun but simple shoes; they have a 70s beach vibe going on, and they come in tons of colors and patterns for girls, boys and adults. Don't miss out on Summer 2008's most popular flip-flops.

Tea Collection TeeYour little ones are all creative geniuses right? Well, now is their opportunity to shine. Tea Collection, one of my favorite kids' fashion lines, is running a talent search of sorts; they are asking little artists to design artwork for their Spring 2009 Global Fund for Children bodysuits and tees. Up to 50% of profits from these kiddie-created tops will be donated to The Global Fund for Children. The winning creations will be available at teacollection.com and in boutiques across America in January 2009.

How Can Your Child Participate?
  • Ask your child to produce an original piece of art that expresses his understanding of the phrase "little citizen of the world."
  • Read teacollection.com's rules and regulations.
  • Submit artwork by May 8.
  • The winning artist will receive the official Tea Collection's Global Fund for Children plus a $200 Tea Collection gift certificate.

The Hoodwink : A Beach and Pool Essential for Kids

Here is another great invention in the world of kids' fashion that I just love, the Hoodwink! It's sure to make going to the pool or to the beach with kids just a bit easier.

What is a Hoodwink?
It's basically an over-sized towel designed to slip over a child's head.

What does it do?
This towel does double duty:
  • Toss it over your little ones so they can inconspicuously change in and out of their swimsuits. The Hoodwink provides full coverage so they can change right on the beach or by the pool without feeling embarrassed.
  • This plush terry towel is big, cuddly and perfect for warm-up sessions between swims. Kids love snuggling up with their soft-as-can-be Hoodwink.
Where can I get one?
The Hoodwink is available at Kanai-yu's Online Kids' Boutique.

Swimwear for Girls 2008

It's time to splash into swimsuit season! There are some super swimsuits out there for girls this year. And aren't kids lucky? They still think that buying a swimsuit is fun.

For little girls, check out these adorable and sweet swimsuits for toddlers. From itsy-bitsy-teeny-weeny bikinis that will show off her lovable rolls, to surfer inspired suits by Roxy, there are lots of options in toddler swimwear fashions.

And for grade schoolers and middle schoolers, choosing a swimsuit can be more difficult. She has her opinions, you have yours, and you both have to settle on a suit. Sometimes, this isn't so easy. So, I've chosen 10 cute suits for girls including one-pieces, tankinis and bikinis. There is something there for every girl including fun bikinis for the braver girls and one-pieces that are modestly cut but still high on style.
