Monkey-Toes is a line of hand painted toddler shoes and kids' shoes. Every shoe is hand painted with an insect, animal or other fun character that kids go crazy for. They are adorable and have even been spotted on celeb-baby feet. In fact, Suri Cruise is a fan.
Meet the Test Driver
4-year old, preschooler Ellie Test Drove two pairs of Monkey-Toes toddler shoes.
Paint Job
Monkey-Toes toddler and kids' shoes showcase kid-friendly, hand-painted designs. They are absolutely adorable and kids' love the cute characters.
Ellie, a shoe lover at heart, flipped over her new shoes. A friend of hers had a pair of Monkey-Toes last year and she has been asking for them ever since. She immediately put on the Flutterflies MJs because she said, "they are pink and the butterflies are cute." Her attention was soon diverted, however, when her big sister read the packaging on the Glow Bug shoes and announced that the eyes glowed in the dark. They both ran to the bathroom with the shoes to test out the glow-in-the-dark eyes. They were impressed.
Ellie's mom likes both pairs, but thinks that the Little Ladies design is irresistible.

The Comfort Factor
Ellie said her Glow Bug shoes were comfortable. In fact, after trying them on for her photo shoot, she refused to take them off.
Ellie's mom says that the shoes, in terms of comfort, are ok. They do not have any of the comfort factors that many toddler shoes do. But, they aren't built for heavy running and playing. Monkey-Toes shoes are more suited for lunch with mom, shopping, parties and other occasions when your kid wants to look extra cute, but doesn't need a good support shoe. The sneaker style Glow Bug shoes are more substantial and would be fine as a school shoe. The MJs are very light, providing less support, but comfortable on hot summer days.

Easy On-Easy Off
Ellie loved how easy it was for her to get her little feet into the Glow Bug sneakers. The spiral shoe laces made it a snap for her to slide her foot in and out, and they held tight to her foot all day long, even when she played outside.
The Flutterflies Mary Janes were not so easy. They have a traditional buckle, so she was unable to do them herself. Ellie's mom says that this isn't such a problem for her because she doesn't want Ellie to sneak and put them on herself. She wants to keep them nice and clean for special occasions.
