What boy's shoes are tops this season? Let's find out! From skater-cool etnies, to have-to-have Chuck Taylor All Stars, I'll keep you on top of the trends and show you exactly what boys' shoes are too cool for school and they playground too.
Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars are always fashionable, always in style and always cool in school and out. These classic kicks seem to forever be on every cool kid's wish list. And for 2011, the trend just keeps on keeping on. Choose from hi-tops, low-tops, colored, black-and-white, patterned, plain, with laces or without--the possibilities are nearly endless.
For little feet only, the Pediped Benji Flex toddler boys' shoe is tops. Many of my readers are long-time Pediped fans, and for good reason. Their shoes are always supportive, comfortable and stylish. They are made and designed with little feet in mind. Pediped never takes an existing style and scales it down for little feet. Toddler and baby feet have different needs than older kid feet, so it is important to find a shoe that offers them stability, support and flexibly.
So it's no wonder that this season, one of my favorite toddler boy shoe is the Benji Flex. It has that cool, loafer-look that older boys are after but made just for toddlers. The higher silhouette provides excellent ankle support. The faux shoelaces with easy, on-and-off velcro closure look great but are easy for kids to do themselves. And of course they are comfy too.
How many of you have young boys who refuse to wear any shoe that isn't an athletic shoe? Lots of you, right? I know. I hear about it from parents all the time, asking me to help them find a pair of boys' athletic shoes that can dress up a bit, but still look like an athletic shoe. Well search no further, introducing the Stride Rite Dynamic. They dress up and down and look as good with a pair of shorts and a tee as they do with a pair of chinos and a button-up shirt. Sure, he can't wear them to a black tie event, but out to dinner--no problem!
Uggs is one of the most trusted names in kids' boots. The classic Uggs are great, but these Ugg Kids Devyn, with leather upers, are awesome. No doubt these will be his go-to footwear this winter. They are guaranteed to keep his feet warm, even in the coldest climates and they'll keep him looking smart to boot (pun intended). The Ugg Kids Devyn boots can dress up or down so he's sure to get lots of use out of them all season long.

Loafers are back and in a big way. For boys, skip the stiff, patent leather loafers and choose a soft-leather pair instead. Also, driving shoes look more modern than penny loafers, and they are more comfortable to wear. If you buy him a pair of loafers that are comfortable, he might actually agree to wear them. These Kenneth Cole Reaction Kids Driving Dime boys' shoes are the perfect choice for a boy who wants to stay comfy while looking sharp, even when he has to forgo his beloved athletic shoes.
