100 Stocking Stuffers for Kids

© Garnet Hill
Regardless of expense, a stocking full of little treasures can steal the show on Christmas morning. The key is to go for quantity and quality. Randomness is half the fun of stockings, but be sure to keep the recipients' tastes and interests in mind, and opt for special variations on everyday items. (Tighty whities and flesh toned bandages are likely to fall flat.)

Look over this list for general inspiration. In need of more specific recommendations? Check out these Top 10 lists for girls and boys.

If you don't have time to round up an arsenal of little things, let one bigger gift, like a scarf, fill most of the stocking space, then top it with a handful of smaller items.

General Notes:

  • Take note of your kids' favorite colors, themes and icons.
  • Most kids like well-done personalization. Look for items branded with your kid's initial, name, monogram, or sports number, or customize items yourself with supplies from the craft store.
  • Gift cards and certificates make great stocking stuffers.
