As the school year draws to a close, kids' fashion gets more casual, and more fun. Uniforms are set aside, school dress codes are forgotten, and easy comfort rules. Of the 10 items on my list of this summer's trends for girls, the light denim romper from Zara will likely be the one that rarely makes it back to the hanger. My daughter can roll out of bed (sans alarm!), toss on this romper and flip flops, and get on with her day.
Whether the agenda calls for traipsing through the park or strolling through the museum, she'll be set. The versatile romper makes for a stylish swimsuit coverup, but it is equally at home on the summer party circuit, accessorized with an armful of crafted bracelets and bright sandals. Its simplicity will allow the romper to be worn time and time again without appearing to be the only item she owns.
The nature of denim is such that the romper will probably look even cooler after weathering a bit. So, bring on the dirt, the sand and the sun. Bring on the craft paint and the berry-hued snow cones. Bring on summer - - she's ready!
Is it warming up where you are? What is your daughter's go-to look these days?
